| Notes | Joel Christopher Greenwood was born 18 July 1822 and died 17 December 1853 in Baldwinsville, Massachusetts. He was a merchant, teacher of penmanship, and deacon of the Baptist church in Providence, Rhode Island. On 27 August 1820, he married Hannah Hemingway Wakefield. The daughter of James Wakefield and the former Hannah Hemingway, she was born 29 August 1820 and died 20 July 1903 in Wakefield, Massachusetts. After Joel C. Greenwood’s death, his widow married Edwin Sawyer on 13 March 1856. |
