Jacob Christian Snyder, who served in Company H, 155th Regiment, Indiana Volunteers, during the Civil War, was born in 1826 in Ohio and died on 10 January 1909 in Mishawaka, Indiana. His parents came to the United States in the early 1800s as newlyweds from Germany. Catherine Elizabeth Arthur was born on 11 March 1830 in Pennsylvania and died on 24 May 1914 at 223 East Grove St., in Mishawaka. She was the daughter of Aron Arthur and Maria Lee.
