CASSANDER GLOYD, born May 3, 1830, in that part of Knox County, Ohio, now called Morrow County. Went from there to Massachusetts when 14 years of age, remaining there about years, and then went to Franklin County, Ohio, in 1848 and remained there until 1859, and then returned to Monroe County, and remained until 1861. In 1864 enlisted in the 144th National Guards, Company E, and served one year during the War of the Rebellion. After that returned to Wood County, where he remained until the Spring of 1886, and then moved to his present place in Oregon Township, Lucas County. Married his first wife in 1852, who died in 1859, and married his second wife in 1863. Has had eleven children in all, three of whom are dead.
