This brother was born in Thomas county, Ga., December 15, 1826. Was converted when a boy, but did not unite with the church. In 1849 at the age of 23 he came to Texas. In May, 1862, he entered the Confederate service, and continued till the war closed. Under the preaching of the late M. V. Smith he was made to see his error, and was baptized by Bro. Smith. In the spring of 1866, a church was organized four miles north of Cotton Gin. Bro. McMillan first united with this church, and was by it ordained deacon. Moved to Falls county in 1884.
