JOHN VAN HORN is one of the early settlers in the Maumee Valley. He located in the Village of Maumee in the year 1830. He was born in Seneca County, New York, in 1811. He has been married twice; his second wife is still living. He has one daughter, Elizabeth, who married James Carney, of Maumee. Mr. Van Horn has been a member of the M. E. Church for many years.
