POISIONED WITH ROUGH ON RATS.
______
Hico, [Hamilton County] Tex., May 18. On Tuesday morning Drs. Myers and Hubbert were hastily summoned to see Mr. J. W. Tilley and family who live about three miles from a n [sic] in the neighborhood of Old Hico. They found that Mr. Tilley, his wife and several children were poisoned by Rough on Rats which had been put in the coffee at breakfast. Drs. Myers and Hubbert did what they could for them and succeeded in saving all of the family except a little boy about three years old who died that evening. Mr. and Mrs. Tilley were very low for a while but it is thought they will recover. It is said that the Rough on Rats was put in the coffee by Mrs. Tilley while temporarily insane.
